It is Rocket Science! Broward County Public Schools Students Showcase Rocket-Building Skills at STEM Student Symposium
February 6, 2020
When was the last time you had an opportunity to design, build and launch a rocket? Thanks to the Broward College Teacher Education Program STEM Student Symposium, about 100 ninth grade students will get to do just that.
Students from the Integrated Career and Academic Networks (iCAN) magnet program at South Broward High School and Stranahan High School, and students from the Urban Teacher Academy Program (UTAP) at Deerfield Beach High School.
During the Broward College Teacher Education Program STEM Student Symposium, students will learn about the force of motion as they design, build and launch rockets with professors and college students. Students will also tour Broward College and gain an understanding of the path required to obtain a career in the aerospace and aviation industries.
