As a result of the historic rainfall and flooding that caused school closures on April 13 and 14, 2023,  BCPS is making a change to the current school year calendar.  

Thursday June 8, 2023 – the last day of school – has changed from an early release day to a full day of school to make up required instructional time. 

June 8 was designated as a hurricane make up day when the current year calendar was originally approved.  Due to the weather event occurring near the end of the school year, the District had few options to make up lost instructional time. 

Please make a note of the calendar change and plan accordingly.
