The 2019 English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Academic Competition

WHY:
The ESOL Academic Competition highlights student talent and proficiency in the English language; develops students’ creativity and demonstrates organizational, research and problem-solving skills; and provides a better understanding of the curriculum and the cultures of people throughout the United States and the world. The theme of this year’s competition is “Navigating the Path to Biliteracy.”
During the ESOL Academic Competition, students participate in a variety of events, such as impromptu speaking, declamation (rhetorical speech), original oratory, talent, art, writing, skits, digital media and much more.
