Glades Middle is proud to offer a high-quality, fee-based, before and after-school childcare program for our student body. The GMS Horizons Academy pledges to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all our students while providing additional opportunities for academic and social achievement. We strive to inspire our students to be lifelong learners, encourage their creative expression, and help build their sense of self-confidence. Through the infusion of cooperative team building, increasing engagement in our community, and making positive contributions to the world around them, we hope to ignite a passion for learning in our middle school students.

To register for our program, please visit https://ww.browwardschools.com/bascc. Once you are there, click on the link that says, “Registration for Before and After School Child Care Click Here” and begin your registration. Please have your child’s student number ready. Please read all instructions and follow all directions. It is important to note that the application submission does not guarantee enrollment in our program.

Once you have completed and submitted the application, our supervisor will reach out to you via email to confirm your enrollment. Once a student gets accepted, parents/guardians have 24 hours to submit the first required payment. If payment is not made within this first 24-hour window, you may lose your spot on our program.

Once your child is officially admitted to our program, payments will need to be made every 15 school days on our Estore using the following link http://estore.browardschools.com

If, during your application process, you experience technical difficulties, please call 754-321-3314 for tech support. 

Program information

Our program abides by the Broward County Public Schools Code of Conduct. We follow the same rules pertaining to cell phones, medication dispensing, bullying, and behavior conduct. Our students are expected to behave in the same manner they would in the classroom and to treat their counselor and peers with kindness and respect.

If your child has Special Needs (an IEP, a 504 plan, or medical issues), please let us know before you register. We are required to have a meeting to make sure our program can meet their needs.

Payment information

The non-refundable registration fee ($30.00 per child) will be collected for the 2022-2023 school year. The activity fee for aftercare is $10.00, which pays for student’s activities.

As of this school year, there will be 12 payment periods. Before care is $80.00 per pay period and After care prices are $107.00 per pay period + a $10.00 activity fee. 

**If a parent /guardian forgets to make a payment, you will be charged an additional $30.00 re-registration fee PER CHILD (late fee). **
