Hundreds of BCPS Students to Participate in STEM Fest
– Fun Feature Story or Photo Opportunity –
WHO:
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Students and Families; Representatives from the District’s Title I, Migrant Education and Special Programs Department; The Flying Classroom with Captain Barrington Irving; and Community Partners
WHAT:
Approximately 400 elementary, middle and high school students will participate in the annual STEM Fest. The free event includes hands-on STEM activities, interactive booths, special presentations and STEM-related games using virtual reality flight simulators! Students can also view helicopters, planes and aviation facilities. In addition, students and families take part in engaging STEM projects and meet The Flying Classroom’s Captain Barrington Irving.

WHY:
The event aims to spark students' interest in STEM through a variety of hands-on, interactive activities. STEM Fest is a collaboration between BCPS Title I, Migrant Education and Special Programs Department; Broward College Aviation Institute; and The Flying Classroom.
