We are #BCPSProud of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School sophomores Olivia Alvarez and Spencer Brenner whose summer book drive collected over 1,400 books that were donated to students at James S. Hunt Elementary School and Coral Springs Pre K – 8. These books were given to students in a five-book bundle during Broward County Public Schools grab-and-go meal pickup. In addition, 350 books were donated to the Literacy Connection, Inc. and 60 remaining books were given to the retirement community, Aston Gardens. Both MSD students more than tripled their initial goal of collecting 500 books, ending with a total of 1,800 books collected.
