Miami Heat Xtreme Team with Maplewood Elementary School Students and Staff
The Miami Heat is putting on a day of fun and sports for students at Maplewood Elementary to kick off this year’s “How Low Can You Go Challenge,” which encourages schools to reduce the amount of energy and water they consume throughout the school year. Maplewood Elementary took first place in the District last school year for having the largest decrease in kilowatts used, as compared to the previous year. The pep rally also celebrates Green Sports Day, which helps connect environmental stewardship with athletic events.
The Xtreme Team will engage students in high-energy activities with the overall goal of inspiring students to be good stewards of our environment.
