WHO:
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Career, Technical, Adult and Community Education (CTACE) Department in collaboration with Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and Virtual Enterprise (VE); BCPS Students; and Business Partners.            

WHAT:
Around 600 BCPS students participate in the Second Annual Entrepreneurship Leadership Day, engaging directly with local entrepreneurs and business leaders and learning the tools necessary to build a brand.

WHY:
Entrepreneurship Leadership Day exposes students to the entrepreneurial mindset. Fifth – 12^th grade students engage with local business owners in breakout sessions on topics, such as Developing a Personal Brand and Rapid Prototyping. Additionally, interested students signed up to participate in the Innovation Team Challenge. More than 30 teams of middle and high school students will be presented with an industry challenge and work alongside business mentors to develop a business plan that offers a solution. Students will present their business plans to a panel of judges and participate in invaluable discussions about the viability of their business model and real-world considerations.
