Viking VIP Spotlight Students Announced!

VIP VIKING SPOTLIGHT

 

 

Jadon Armstrong

Jadon is an 8th-grade student who is nominated by Ms. Doell, his 5th period teacher. Ms. Doell credits Jadon for “being the “I” in Kind. He volunteered to help another student with a technology issue. The student’s laptop was restricted.”

Kevin Witty Jr.

Kevin is a 7th grade student who is recognized for being a Viking Golden student due to his respectful attitude and kind demeanor. Ms. Doell, his 5th period teacher, also recognizes Kevin for “For being the “I” in Kind. He helped another student with knowledge about technology.”

Harold Ceus

Harold is a 6th grade student who is recognized for his getting all passing grades in Quarter 2 and currently having all passing grades for Quarter 3. Ms, Doell, Harold’s 6th period teacher, nominates him as a spotlight student saying, “Harold volunteers to check on others seeking processing and submission help for assignments.”

Elijah Royser

Elijah Royster is an 8th grade student who is recommended by his Research Teacher, Ms. Studstill who stated, “Elijah has shown major improvement with his grades so far for quarter 3, I just want to encourage him to continue to do his best. All of his assignments were done on time.” Elijah had all passing grades for 2nd quarter and currently has all passing grades 3rd quarter.

Jasmine Michel

Jasmin Michel is a 6th grade student who is recommended by her Ms. Z. Christopher, her World History Teacher. Per Ms. Z. Christopher, “The student [Jasmin] is always ready to learn and does her assignment with such grace. She is a student leader in the class and a great help to her classmates.” Jasmin is also recognized as a VIP Golden Student due to exemplifying our school-wide expectations of being respectful, empathetic, optimistic, and keen.

Patricia Herard

Patricia Herard is a 6th-grade student who is commended for her academics and excellent behavior. Patricia is recognized for making A/B Honor roll and getting all passing grades in 1st and 2nd quarter. Per Ms. Johnson, her PASL teacher, Patricia is “always on top of it” when it comes to her work. Patricia is also recognized as a Viking Golden Student due to exemplifying our school-wide expectations of being respectful, empathetic, optimistic, and keen.

Orane Fowles

Orane is a 6th grader with EXCELLENT attendance and ALL passing grades. Orane is recognized for making A/B Honor roll for Quarter 2 and for being the PASL Student of the Month for increasing his letter grade in Language Arts from a B first quarter to an A second quarter, maintaining no less than a C in all his classes and having no more than 2 unexcused absences for the month. Orane is also recognized as a PASL STAR Student for having all passing grades for (2) quarters.

 

Edwin Delcine

Edwin is an 8th grader with EXCELLENT attendance. Edwin is recognized for being a PASL STAR Student due to having a “C” or higher in ALL subjects for the past two quarters. Edwin is commended by his teacher Ms. Studstill for being attentive and for getting his work done.

Jeron B. Times Jr.

Jeron is a 7th grader with EXCELLENT attendance and ALL A’s in 6 out of 7 classes for BOTH Quarter 1 & Quarter 2. Jeron is recognized as a PASL STAR Student for his excellency in academics and attendance. Jeron is commended for seeking out tutoring through AskBRIA for PASL to progress in his ELA class.

Abdias Mondesir

Abdias Mondesir is an 8th grade student who is commended by Ms. Slesinski who states, “He has now returned to school and is doing much better, especially in Ms. Delorme’s Math class. I’m proud of Abby. He has shown resiliency during the difficult times of e-learning and is now back on track.” WAY TO GO ABDIAS!

Maxime M. Menard

Maxime is a 6th grade student who is commended for passing all his core-subject classes in Quarter 2 and doing a great job so far in Quarter 3. Maxime is recognized for being a Viking Golden Student due to exemplifying our school-wide expectations of being respectful, empathetic, optimistic and keen. Per Ms. Gray, “Maxime is an amazing student. Speaking three languages he uses his skills and ability to help those around him.”

Maximo Britton

Maximo Britton is a 6th grade IB student who is commended by his peers and teachers alike. Per Ms. Figures, “Maximo is an 'A' student who always puts forth great effort to improve his math skills. He is always willing to ask questions, solve problems, and participate in class.”. Ms. Shelman described Maximo as “a very self-driven student that gives more than 100% in his classwork.  He is also a great team member when in small groups with his peers.  He takes his education very serious and it's a pleasure having him in my class.”

Jerry Polemeque

Jerry is nominated by his 1st period teacher, Ms. Doell, who had this to say about him, “He has been a focused student and has started putting forth effort.” Jerry has shown tremendous growth, improving his grades from Quarter 1 to Quarter 2. He completed Quarter 2 with all passing grades and currently has all passing grades in Quarter 3.

Keny Remy

Keny Remy is an 8th grade student who has shown significant progress in academics and attendance. Keny is commended for increasing his letter grades in two core subjects, History and Science, from Quarter 1 to Quarter 2. Per Ms. Studstill, Keny has tried his hardest to show improvement in his grades and a great effort in completing his assignments on time. Ms. Johnson agreed, “Keny is a quiet student and does his work.”

 

Swaminski Liberal

Swaminski is nominated by his History teacher, Ms. Dupont, in consideration for Student of the Month and as a Viking Golden Student. Swaminski has made straight A’s in 2nd quarter and currently has all A’s in 3rd quarter. Per Ms. Dupont, “Swaminski Liberal is a student that possesses great and observable potential to make a difference in the world! He is currently in 8th grade, yet demonstrates maturity, responsibility, respect, as well as, appears to be very goal oriented. The student completes his assignments in a timely manner and participates in class discussions. Moreover, Swaminski Liberal exudes the confidence to become a great leader, and to become an agent for change! He also, demonstrates IB characteristics of being Principled, Reflective, Inquirer, Balanced and Caring! Swaminski Liberal is an inspiring student with great promise!”

 

Kevin Sandy

Kevin Sandy is a 7th grade student who has been nominated for the VIP VIKING SPOTLIGHT due to his PERFECT attendance, having ALL A's in quarter 1, and making A/B Honor Roll in quarter 2. He currently has all A's and B's for quarter 3 and is doing a fantastic job!

Joel Pierre Louis

Joel is a 6th grade student leader who participates in Debate, Student Government and Poetry Club. Joel is recognized for successfully completing the Middle School Leadership Workshop for the Broward County Association of Student Councils and for representing our Vikings in the 9th Annual Poetry & Leadership Conference where he performed an original rap. Joel is commended for always being willing to help, his leadership, and his creativity.

Tyra Pitts

Tyra is a 7th grade student leader who participates in Student Government and Poetry Club. Tyra is recognized for her successful completion of the Broward County Association of Student Council’s (BCASC) Middle School Leadership Workshop. Most recently, Tyra also represented our Vikings at the 9th Annual Poetry & Leadership Conference where she performed an original poem. Additionally, Tyra is recognized for being an A/B Honor Roll student with PERFECT attendance. She is commended for her dependability, academics, her creativity and her leadership. 

 

CLARISSA MALDONADO

Clarissa is a 6th grader with EXCELLENT attendance and passing grades (C and higher) in ALL her classes for 1st and 2nd quarter. Clarissa is recognized for being a PASL Student of the Month for showing an increase in a letter grade for a Core Subject, having gone from a C to an A in her Language Arts class from Quarter 1 to Quarter 2 and having no more than 2 unexcused absences for the month of January. Lucianne is an 8th grader with GREAT attendance and passing grades (C+ and higher) in ALL her classes for 1st and 2nd quarter. Lucianne is recognized for making A/B Honor Roll for 1st Quarter and is considered a PASL STAR Student.

NIANSHA FEVRIER

Niansha is an 8th grader with EXCELLENT attendance and all A’s & B’s for ALL her classes for 1st and 2nd Quarter. She comes HIGHLY recommended by her Ms. Studstill, her Language Arts teacher, who states that Niansha has earned her grades by coming to class every day and consistently turning in quality work. Niansha is also recognized as a PASL STAR Student due to her EXCEPTIONAL grades. When asked about her winning strategy, Niansha stated, “I wasn’t doing so well last year, so this year I decided to be better. I stay focused. I complete all my assignments on time, and I listen to my teachers. I’ll ask my teachers if I have any missing work and complete them.”

KIMORA MOCKS

Kimora is a 7th grader with EXCELLENT attendance and all A’s & B’s for ALL classes for 1st and 2nd quarter. She is commended by her PASL Teacher, Ms. Johnson, for always helping in class and getting her work done properly. Kimora is also recognized as a PASL STAR Student due to her excellent grades. Per Kimora, “I been working really hard to get the good grades and to understand the work I've been given. I also participate a lot in my classes.”

 

MARIYA VEAL

Mariya Veal is a 6th grader who has all ALL passing grades (C’s and higher) for 1st and 2nd quarter. She is a student leader, who is active in Student Government and Poetry Club. Mariya comes HIGHLY recommended by Ms. Osborne, her advisor for always being present, participating and for exemplifying our school-wide expectations of being respectful, empathetic, optimistic, and keen. She is recognized as a Viking Golden Student for having these qualities and for being a PASL STAR student due to her grades. According to Mariya, “I study and I do quizzes everyday on work that I have.”
