2017-18 Fire Class Senior Graduates

Fire 2018

On Wednesday of last week we attended the Lauderhill 6-12 senior awards ceremony. Four seniors who participated in our fire class curriculum during their sophomore, junior and senior years graduated. Three of the four students expressed interest in furthering their firefighting aspirations by hopefully applying to the fire academy.  Thankfully, we were able to create a scholarship opportunity and fund their fire academy tuition. To be eligible they had to maintain a minimum overall 3.0 GPA, participate in the fire explorer program, be in good standing with the school and write an essay. Students Isaac Theodule, Romell Alveranga and Wiljames Guerrier were the recipients. Also pictured is Lieutenant Schneeweiss one of the lead instructors. Their families were overwhelmed with joy.
