Broward County School Board Seeks Input on Implementation of a Student Outcomes Focused Approach
Community Survey Open Now through Midnight on Sunday, May 15
The Broward County School Board is developing a student outcomes focused approach to governance to improve what students know and can do with the knowledge and skills they acquire at Broward County Public Schools.
To inform the community and gain input regarding this new approach, School Board members have hosted a series of community meetings throughout the county, the last of which will take place on Wednesday, May 11, at 6 p.m. This meeting will be held virtually and can be viewed at becon.tv/yourvoice.
In addition to the feedback gained at the meetings, the School Board is asking community stakeholders – students, parents, caregivers, employees and everyone who has an interest in our educational system – to take a few minutes to learn about the new approach being implemented and answer a short opinion survey. The feedback will help inform the priorities and goals for the District’s Strategic Plan.
Access a short video that explains the new approach and the survey link at browardschools.com/yourvoice.
Members of the community are asked to complete the survey by midnight on Sunday, May 15, to let their voices be heard.
The responses will help the School Board ensure the community has a clear understanding of the concepts of the approach being implemented.
