80 Schools Receive Golden and Silver School Awards

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is proud to announce 80 schools are named Golden and Silver School Awards winners for the 2019/20 school year by Florida Department of Education. The annual awards promote parent, student and community engagement in education.
The Golden School Award recognizes elementary, secondary and adult schools with exemplary volunteer programs. The Silver School Award recognizes secondary schools that provide volunteer services to elementary or other secondary schools.
“These awards are well-deserved and honor the focus, dedication and hard work of our school leaders, teachers, parents, students and community,” said BCPS Superintendent Robert W. Runcie. “We are extremely proud of our schools for their outstanding volunteer program achievement.”
Mirror Lake Elementary School receives special recognition on its 41st consecutive year earning the Golden School Award and Flamingo Elementary School, Pembroke Lakes Elementary School, Ramblewood Elementary School and Westchester Elementary School are commended on their 40th consecutive year achievement.
Congratulations to the following schools for receiving the Golden or Silver School Awards for 10 or more consecutive years.
