WHAT: DCA Jazz Ensemble Sweet Dillard Jazz live performance

WHY: The nationally renowned DCA Jazz Ensemble performs live with the legendary trumpeter Jon Faddis. The joint performance will feature Big Band music and a dessert buffet during intermission.
Faddis is known for his trumpet playing and expertise in music education. Faddis rose to fame because of his ability to mirror the sound of his mentor, trumpet icon Dizzy Gillespie.
The DCA Jazz Ensemble are three-time champions, and have earned first place at Essentially Ellington, in 2011, 2012 and 2018. Essentially Ellington is a free program for high school jazz bands, which aims to elevate musicianship, broaden perspectives and inspire performance.
