BCPS Counts Down to the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day with Special Activities for Students and Families
April 14, 2020
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is counting down to the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. In honor of the occasion, the District, through the Applied Learning Department, created activities for students and families to mark each day leading up to Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
From scavenger hunts and turning recycled materials into artwork to determining the size of your carbon footprint, the activities are fun and educational. Participants can also upload photos of their Earth Day activities to highlight the importance of protecting the Earth and being good stewards of the environment.
To join the celebration, download the Count Down to Earth Day calendar, which is available at browardschools.com/stem, and complete each day's activities. Share photos of your actions and see what others are doing via the Broward EcoActions Story Map at https://arcg.is/CanH1.
