Back to School Immunizations

Attention Incoming 7th Grade Parents,

You are required to fulfill the following state immunization requirement before your child is permitted to enter 7th grade for the 2018-19 school year:

* Documentation of the completion of the Hepatitis B Series

* Documentation of the completion of the two doses of the Measles Vaccine (MMR)

* A new Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis Booster shot (TDP or TDaP)


See below for information regarding back to school immunizations for all students and required immunization for 7th Grade students:

FREE Back to School Immunizations from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on August 1-3, August 6-10, and August 13-17 inside Lauderhill Mall. 

Back to School Health Fair 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (registration closes at 11:30 am). Immunizations and physicals (not for sports) can be obtained at the First Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale. FREE food and backpacks with supplies are available after participating. 

Proof of Mandatory Immunization Requirement for all 7th-grade Students in Broward County Public Schools. 7th-grade students that have not provided documentation will be sent home and not allowed to attend until this requirement is met. Section 1003.22 (10a) of the Florida Statutes does not allow seventh graders to attend school with incomplete immunization documentation. Please do not call the registrar to ask for an extension. She cannot by law authorize your child to attend school without the immunization paperwork from your doctor. Please contact your pediatrician to schedule an appointment or contact your local health center for a schedule of free immunizations for families that qualify.
