Student drop off and pick up procedures
2021-2022 Student Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
◦As a new safety standard, ALL exterior gates will be locked at Plantation Middle School, this is inclusive of the front gate facing Sunrise and the back gates that face NW 70th Avenue.
◦The designated student drop-off location will be on NW 70th Ave. from 8:50 am- 9:30 am (in the rear of the school next to the PAL field). This is a rolling drop-off, pull all the way forward. Should you need to stop, please park at the PAL field so that traffic can continue to flow.
◦The students who enter the campus through the chute on Sunrise will be permitted to enter the campus at 8:50 am. The chute will not be opened prior to 8:50 am and students must go directly to their designated areas.
◦The designated report area for students is as follows: All 6th graders will report to the various rooms Kiva, 183, 182, 181 168, and 165. All 7th and 8th graders will report to the cafeteria.
◦To ensure excellence in customer service, scheduled parent appointments are preferred. Please call the front desk at 754-322-4100. In the event you arrive to campus and the gate is locked, please call the front desk at 754-322-4100 and a member of security will grant you access after all identification protocols have taken place.
◦The last opportunity for EARLY student pick-up is at 3:30 pm
◦Dismissal student car rider pick-up will be located at the front of the school located off Sunrise Blvd. Parent cars will be admitted beginning at 3:45 pm. Please pull all the way forward utilizing all the space for student pick-up.
◦Students who are walking will be released through the chute or the back of the school by the PAL field depending on the route that they take for dismissal.
