Sheridan Technical College and Mazda Partner to Launch New Automotive Training Program

Sheridan Technical College has partnered with Mazda North American Operations to launch the Mazda Automotive Student Training (MAST) program this August. This first-of-its-kind program in South Florida will equip students to become Mazda Senior Certified Technicians, ready for immediate employment at Mazda dealerships.
The MAST program, established by Mazda in 2019, combines general automotive education with Mazda-specific training and certification. "This is a tremendous opportunity for our students and our community," said Cara Daniel, Director at Sheridan Technical College, emphasizing the program's role in connecting a qualified workforce with industry demands.
“Mazda is pleased to partner with Sheridan Technical College to address the technician shortage in Southern Florida, a rapidly growing market,” said Tim Kosnar, Program Manager, Mazda Technical Training. “The MAST program also partners with Mazda dealers to provide graduates with mentorship, significant vehicle discounts and hiring bonuses.”
Sheridan Technical College, part of Broward County Public Schools, has been providing quality education options and meeting local workforce needs since 1968. It offers over 50 high-wage, high-skill career training programs.
