Named Winner of $50,000 National Teacher Prize 

A trades teacher at Atlantic Technical College and Technical High School will be surprised on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, with a $50,000 prize recognizing excellence in skilled trades education. 

Kevin Finan, who teaches machining technologies, is one of 20 grand prize winners nationwide to receive the 2022 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence.   

Finan is not yet aware that he has won this award – please help keep the secret.  The surprise announcement and $50,000 check presentation will take place during a surprise ceremony happening Tuesday morning at the school.
