Protocol For Students Returning To School After Having COVID-19


If your student is determined to have COVID-19 or its symptoms, please follow the protocol set by BCPS in order to return to on-campus learning.

1. Parent/Guardian shall notify school staff prior to child returning to school to ensure proper quarantine/isolation has been completed.

2. Students with COVID-19 who have symptoms may return to school after 10 days since onset of symptoms, at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, other symptoms have improved and one (1) negative test result.

3. Students with a positive COVID-19 test result who DO NOT have symptoms may return to school 10 days after the date, with one (1) negative test result.

4. All students must return to school with a note from their health care provider.
