Summer Reading Challenge

Tequesta’s Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge
Summer Reading!

Did you know that when kids read over the summer, they are more likely to leap ahead when they return to school? This is often called the “summer leap,” and we’ve made it a priority to keep your
child’s skills sharp by encouraging them to read all summer long.

This year, our school will participate in the Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge, a free reading program that invites students to keep track of their reading minutes all summer long. Students will
find Beanstack directly on their Clever Launchpads!

Students get to choose their own summer reading material and make it a goal to read 20 minutes a day. When students enter their reading minutes in Beanstack from June 1st to July 31st, they will
earn digital rewards as they watch their reading minutes stack up!

The minutes students log for Tequesta’s Summer Reading Challenge in Beanstack will automatically be logged for any other Beanstack challenge students are registered for, including the Broward County
Public Library’s challenge. Now you can link your school Beanstack account with the Broward County Public Library account to participate in the BCL Summer Learning Program.
