The Westglades' Robotics class participated in a project-based learning initiative called Sportslab. This STEM initiative is backed by the National Science Foundation and utilizes scientific knowledge of forces, friction, and motion to design a shoe for a parkour athlete.
Once the shoe is designed, students must pitch their project to Nike and demonstrate why the Nike company should fund their shoe.
