BCPS Launches New Parent University Webinar Series
September 3, 2020
Reflections, Resources and Best Practices for eLearning – September 10 – 17, 2020
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) and the Parent Community Involvement Task Force are pleased to present a new series of Parent University webinars to provide families additional tools and support for the eLearning environment.
Following the success of the Parent University webinars offered in August, when more than 20,000 parents participated in four live sessions and more than 195,000 visitors accessed Parent University resources online, the District is introducing the Reflections, Resources and Best Practices series, which includes eLearning guidance for the entire school community – students, parents, teachers and administrators.
In the upcoming Parent University series, three live webinars divided by grade levels will give attendees the opportunity to hear directly from teachers and principals about tips and best practices to help students excel while learning from home. The sessions also include a panel discussion with parents, addressing topics such as how to organize your eLearning life and strategies to improve student engagement. Participants will have opportunities to submit questions throughout the presentation to be addressed live by District staff.

Pre-K – Grade 1: Thursday, September 10, 6:30 – 8 p.m.
