This is Deerfield’s way of making sure that the parents of the community are well informed of the opportunities that are available for their children. The programs there will be the Urban Teacher Academy Program (UTAP), The International Baccalaureate (IB), and the Communications/Broadcast Arts program (CBA). Parents and students will first meet with the staff members in the auditorium for an assembly and a general introduction to the school. Then each magnet program will divide and go into their areas of the school and properly introduce their own magnet and what the each have to offer. To assist, there will be teachers, staff members, and other students. This year the open house will be held on Tuesday, January 24^th,  at 6:30 p.m.
