BCPS Observes Dads Take Your Child to School Day on Thursday, September 21, 2023
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) celebrates Dads Take Your Child to School Day on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The Florida Department of Education’s statewide initiative encourages fathers and father figures to become more involved in their children’s education. Research shows when dads take a more active role, students perform better academically, have fewer discipline problems and become more responsible adults.
“This initiative highlights the significant difference dads can make when they are involved in their children’s education,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Peter B. Licata. “As a lifelong educator, I have seen first-hand the positive impact and vital roles fathers play in shaping their children’s lives and futures.”
