For the SAT Simulation during class tomorrow, Saturday, January 14th, all students MUST bring a pencil and a calculator. They are also welcome to bring a water bottle, watch, and jacket if they prefer.
Your classes will be led by Ashley, one of our best tutors, and she will be teaching the class to meet your needs. That means that if you need her to review something or you're having problems, please let her know. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to ask questions and participate in class. It is important to note that her expertise will need to be accompanied by your best effort. That means attending class prepared with your books, pencil, and calculator; asking questions in class; and completing the homework each week. That also means attending both Saturday simulations, which are mandatory.
At the end of each class, your instructor will assign you homework for the following week, usually a practice test from the Official College Board SAT Study Guide or some material from the Score At The Top Strategy Guide, or even a combination of the two. Please be aware that this often amounts to 3‐4 hours of homework per week. To get the most accurate results, we recommend that students complete their practice tests in one sitting. However, we also understand that you are all busy and have lives outside of class, so this may not be possible. If need be, you can separate your homework into sections and complete portions of it each day. Please do your homework every week! Students who complete the homework and participate in class are much more likely to see score increases than those that don't.
Please contact our Coral Springs office with any questions or concerns about the process. You can reach us by phone at 954‐510‐0600 or by email at cs@scoreatthetop.com. We are always happy to help!
Thank you,
Michelle
