BCPS is Enhancing Emergency Communications for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students and Staff

WHAT:                 
District staff will present updates to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Audio Visual Enhancement Project that includes the installation of a new system at four schools with DHH special programs: Peters Elementary School, Tropical Elementary School, Seminole Middle School and South Plantation High School.

WHY:                   
The community is invited to learn about the second phase of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Audio Visual Enhancement Project and the technology being installed in the common areas of the four pertinent schools. There will be demonstrations of the audio and visual technology devices that are used to communicate critical notifications campus-wide to all students and staff, including DHH special programs. A sign language interpreter will be present at this event.
