The number one goal of the Department of Athletics and Student Activities is to continue to deliver our athletic offerings in a safe and secure manner. Our established health and wellness protocols have been in place since the start of fall sports and still continue today. The introduction of winter sports (basketball, soccer, wrestling, competitive cheer, swimming and diving) this week has significantly increased the number of athletes using our facilities and has made it difficult to implement our wellness protocols efficiently and consistently.
As a result, we will be pausing our winter sports practices until December 13th. This will allow protocols to be implemented with fidelity as our fall sports close out and will allow us to continue with winter athletics safely.
