Special Attention: Parents, guardians, caregivers and anyone transporting children to and from schools within the City of Pembroke Pines.

The Pembroke Pines Police Department is responsible for ensuring the safety of all students and the community alike.  This letter is intended to educate drivers on the types of actions that are contrary to state law and or city ordinance, and for which the Pembroke Pines Police Department will conduct enforcement.  The Pembroke Pines Police Department expects everyone to obey the below stipulations, which are necessary to maintain the safe flow of traffic.

  • Lining up, parking or stopping of any kind on the roadway, prior to arrival or dismissal is strictly prohibited
  • Do not block the intersections or any portion of the crosswalks in the area
  • Do not block driveways
  • Do not block entrances/exits to communities
  • Do not enter neighboring residential communities or businesses to park, awaiting the dismissal time
  • Do not park on the grass swales of neighboring communities. This practice eventually leads to property damage
  • Do not stop in the roadway to pick up or drop off students

Any violations of Florida State Statutes AND CITY ORDINANCE will result in the issuance of citations.

Please share this information with others designated to drop off or pick up students.
