Broward County School Board Approves Collective Bargaining Agreements
On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Broward County School Board members approved contract agreements reached with the Broward Teachers Union (BTU) Education Support Professionals (ESP), Technical Support Professionals (TSP) and the Federation of Public Employees (FOPE) for the 2023/24 school year.
Highlights of the agreements include:
Education Support Professionals

Salary increase: A 2.5% raise to the base salary for the 2023/24 school year, retroactive to July 1, 2023.

Extended work year: Beginning in the 2025/26 school year, ESPs will return to work one day earlier, for a total of 189 calendar days on the basic annual work calendar.
Technical Support Professionals

Salary increase: A 2.5% raise to the base salary for the 2023/24 school year, retroactive to July 1, 2023.
Federation of Public Employees

Salary increase: A 2.5% raise to the base salary for the 2023/24 school year, retroactive to July 1, 2023.
