BCPS Presents the 2nd Annual Educating All Students with Excellence Conference
October 11, 2019
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Division of Exceptional Student Learning Support presents the second annual Educating All Students with Excellence (EASE) Conference on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., at Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.
EASE is an innovative and engaging day of professional development focused on inclusion. This year’s theme is “Advancing Authentic, Intentional, Thoughtful and Mindful Inclusive Practices.” Conference attendees can choose from a variety of concurrent interactive sessions and presentations from both practitioners and expert leaders in the field that inform and support work with children with special needs and their families.
The keynote speaker is Ron Clark, known to many as “America’s Educator.” Clark is the 2000 Disney American Teacher of the Year and a two-time New York Times Bestselling author. He is also the founder of The Ron Clark Academy, a model school with a vision to transform classrooms around the world by demonstrating transformative methods and techniques that are embraced and replicated everywhere. Clark will bring a message of hope, dedication and the never-say-never attitude required to achieve goals and dreams.
EASE brings parents, school administrators, general and special education teachers, and service providers together for a day filled with informative, educational and awareness-building sessions on a broad range of special education topics that promote inclusive practices for students with disabilities.
For more about the EASE conference and registration, visit www.easeconference.com or contact Andrea John Baptiste at 954-742-9166. Registration is $75 and includes breakout sessions, conference materials, breakfast and lunch.
