Adult GED and ESOL Programs

Our primary focus at Whiddon-Rogers is to assist students in overcoming barriers to achievement and earn a high school diploma.
Performance-based instruction allows each student to work at his/her own pace until mastery is achieved.
Benefits of our GED and ESOL programs:
  • State-of-the-Art Computer Lab – The lab includes individual work stations and areas for small group instruction.
  • Personalized Learning – Students are tested upon program entry and a personal learning plan is designed to meet each student's needs.
  • Self-Paced – Students work at their own pace based on their academic levels, work schedule, and class schedule.  Teachers assist students in pacing their individual learning plans to maximize achievement.

Students work in each subject area of the GED until they are prepared to pass the test.  The GED has 4 parts:

  • Reading/Writing
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies
Our ESOL program prepares non-native English learners with the skills to communicate in English to improve job skills and to further their technical and academic studies.
Tuition is $30 per terrm.  Other fees include $15 test fee per year, and $20 activity fee per year.  There are 3 terms in a school year.  Students must bring one of the following forms of identification to register and test:
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Valid passport
  • Valid Florida ID card
  • Valid green card
  • Valid military ID card

It is recommended that prospective students call the guidance office at 754-321-7566 to make an appointment.
