Congratulations to Rida Yousuf who won 2nd place in the annual NSU Holocaust Reflection Contest for the digital story telling category.  The purpose of her project was to explain how the experience of a Holocaust survivor influenced her.

Congratulations goes out to our Student Government who won the Gold Council of Excellence award!  To meet the requirements for the National Council of Excellence Award, a student council must meet a variety of criteria.  In addition to basic requirements such as a written constitution, regular meetings, a democratic election process, the councils have demonstrated successful sponsorship and participation in activities such as leadership development and service to the school and community.  Councils awarded the gold level of the award have successfully demonstrated the highest level of leadership.

Congratulations to the three students who placed in the District's literacy fair: Prinsetta Preston, Alanis Barreiro, Christopher Simpson.  What makes this especially impressive is that only three students can place in each category from the entire county!

Last, but certainly not least, Flanagan's

NJROTC Academic team competited in the NJROTC National Academic Exam.  They placed 5th overall in the State out of 143 teams.  Nationally, they finished 27th out of 1338 teams, that is the top 2% in the nation!  Congratulations to: Tamisha Singh, Karina Ali, Omar Lizano, Melody Cubas, Aaron Principe
