BCPS Students Celebrate Earth Day with Beach Cleanup and Environmental Activities

WHO:
Students from Beachside Montessori Village, South Broward High School, South Plantation High School, Everglades High School, Driftwood Middle School, Hollywood Central Elementary School, and Pioneer Middle School.
WHAT:
BCPS students join the community in celebrating Earth Day with beach cleanup and environmental awareness activities.
WHEN/ WHERE: Saturday, April 20, 2019
- Beach Cleanup: 9 – 11 a.m., at Hollywood Beach
- Free Our Seas Environmental Arts Festival (art, music and conservation education), 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., Marine Environmental Education Center, Historic Carpenter House, 4414 North Surf Road. *Free parking at Anne Kolb Nature Center with shuttle service to the festival.
WHY:
BCPS students celebrate Earth Day with a beach cleanup at the Free Our Seas Environmental Art Festival. Students will demonstrate their support for environmental protection and provide an awareness of environmental issues by participating in the beach cleanup and hosting environmental educational booths.
