WHAT:
The Broward County School Board invites the public to attend the Swearing-in Ceremony for newly elected and re-elected School Board members. The ceremony will include the administration of the Oath of Office to the following individuals:

 

Maura McCarthy Bulman, Newly Elected, District 1

Rebecca Thompson, Newly Elected, District 2

Sarah Leonardi, Re-elected, District 3

Dr. Jeff Holness, Re-elected, District 5

Debra Hixon, Re-elected, Countywide At-Large, Seat 9

WHY:
Following the ceremony, the School Board will hold its annual Organizational Meeting, where they elect a Chair and Vice Chair to lead the Board. The meeting takes place at 1:30 p.m., at Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center, 600 S.E. Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
