Attention Business Owners: Learn How to do Business with BCPS During the Tri-County Supplier Diversity Business Event

The stage is set for Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Supplier Diversity Business Event to be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar, Florida 33025. The event takes place from 1:30 – 4 p.m.
The event is organized and hosted by the BCPS Procurement & Warehousing Services Department as part of its Supplier Diversity Outreach Program. It is designed to assist emerging, small, minority and women-owned business enterprises in connecting and networking with prime contractors and purchasing agents, and with accessing District resources and information. It will also provide opportunities for business representatives to meet with potential new sub-vendors to develop strategic relationships for partnerships on future projects.
Attendees will learn about more than $500 million in procurement opportunities with BCPS, as well as opportunities to do business with government agencies and school districts across the tri-county area, including Broward County and Miami-Dade governments, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the School District of Palm Beach County, and the city of Miramar, among others.
The theme of the event is Turn Attendance Into Opportunity and features:
- Buyers Lane, which provides opportunities for companies to meet with purchasing agents from across the tri-county area
- Exhibitor information booths
- Round-table discussions hosted by prime contractors who are seeking sub-contractors
- Business Resource Center, which provides resources and assistance to small, minority and women-owned businesses

The goal of the BCPS Supplier Diversity Outreach Program is to help small, minority and women-owned businesses participate in District procurement and contracting activities, and to spur economic development and support for small, minority and women-owned businesses in successfully expanding in the marketplace.
