300 BCPS Newly Arrived Students Showcase Legislative Youth Agenda
WHAT:
Over 300 newly arrived students from high schools throughout Broward County will present their legislative policy proposals and recommendations to improve their communities at the Close Up – Broward Youth Policy Summit Expo.

WHY:
The Broward Youth Policy Summit Expo is a follow-up to the 2017/18 Rally to the Tally, where hundreds of newly arrived BCPS newly arrived students traveled to Tallahassee to present their legislative agenda for Florida policy action to elected state officials. The Broward Youth Policy Summit challenges students to research and create consensus-based policy recommendations on a wide variety of issues and aims to advance critical thinking and problem-solving skills in our leaders of the future. Close Up Foundation, Washington, D.C. and BCPS Bilingual/ESOL Department are sponsors of the event.
