Nearly 30 volunteers, including lawyers, city commissioners, and firefighters, visited the school on May 17, 2024. The Book Buddies program is supported by Miami-based Levine Kellogg Lehman Schneider + Grossman and Broward County Public Schools (BCPS).

Volunteers distributed over 200 autographed copies of "I Am Superman" by Brad Meltzer. Students even got to wear superhero capes decorated by Hands On Broward.

This marks the fourth Book Buddies event since its launch in 2022. The program aims to ignite a love of reading and fill students' home libraries with new books. In total, Book Buddies has gifted over 700 books to BCPS students.

"The Book Buddies program shows students that reading is a superpower," said George E. Dahdal, an associate attorney at Conrad & Scherer. "Giving back to the community is a core value of our firm."
