Gator Run's Dual Language program is a language immersion program where students spend half their day learning in Spanish and half their day learning in English. The students in our program begin in Kindergarten and will continue each year in the program through fifth grade. The English side teacher and the Spanish side teacher work closely together to ensure that there is fluidity amongst the classrooms and that the all grade-level standards and objectives are covered without repetition of material. Students receive instruction in all subject areas in both languages to ensure that they are learning academic vocabulary and skills in English and Spanish. The goal of our program is for students to be bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish by the end of fifth grade.
