BCPS Employee Priority

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) employees may apply for their child to attend any BCPS school; however, they will receive employee priority based upon their employment status and work location.

Employee Priority to a Magnet Program

Full-time and Part-time BCPS Employee Priority Requirements

  • Permanently work at the requested BCPS school that offers the magnet program
  • Possess legal guardianship of the student
  • Space availability within the grade level requested

If the BCPS employee does not work at the Magnet Program school, the application will not receive priority (the request will be processed as a non-employee application).

Employee Priority to a Nova School

Full-time BCPS Employee Priority Requirements

  • Permanently work within the Nova Innovation Zone (IZone)
  • Possess legal guardianship of the student
  • Space availability within the grade level requested

Part-time BCPS Employee Priority Requirements

  • Permanently work at the requested Nova school
  • Possess legal guardianship of the student
  • Space availability within the grade level requested

If the BCPS employee does not work within the Nova IZone (full-time requirement) or at the Nova school (part-time requirement), the application will not receive priority (the request will be processed as a non-employee application).

Employee Priority to a School (not a Nova school or Magnet Program)

Full-time BCPS Employee Priority Requirements

  • Permanently work within the Innovation Zone (IZone) of the requested BCPS school
  • Possess legal guardianship of the student

Part-time BCPS Employee Priority Requirements

  • Permanently work at the requested BCPS school
  • Possess legal guardianship of the student
  • Space availability within the grade level requested

If the BCPS employee does not work within the IZone, the application will not receive priority (the request will be processed as a non-employee application).
