Covid Update

Greetings South Broward Family and Happy New Year!

As we prepare to welcome our students and staff back from winter break, we want to advise you of some revised health and safety protocols. At its special meeting on Friday, December 31, 2021, the School Board voted to make face coverings mandatory for all visitors and vendors while inside schools, administrative offices and district vehicles until further notice.

Our school will continue to offer free voluntary COVID-19 testing for students. Parents must have a signed school health services consent form on file and must complete and sign the testing consent form if they want their child to receive this service. Links to these forms are available on our website. Hardcopies of the forms are also available in the office. Lastly, as COVID-19 positivity rates continue to rise in our county, we have two requests.

While face coverings are not required for students, we strongly encourage parents to send their children to school with face coverings. We also ask that you extend a measure of grace to us as the rising positivity rates may impact our staffing, as well as some school and district operations.

We will communicate any changes in a timely manner. As always, the health and safety of our students and staff members remain our highest priorities. If you have questions or need assistance, please call the school at 754-323-1800 or respond to this email.

Best wishes for a safe and prosperous new year. I love you and remember - Yes! We Can!  We are…#SOUTHBROWARD!
