Greetings Parents, Guardians and Community Members,

We are off and soaring into another Magnificent Markham school year! I am excited about working with you. In addition to the quality education that will occur in the virtual classroom, Markham has plans to engage parent and community through virtual meetings, such as School Advisory Council (SAC), School Advisory Forum (SAF) and the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA). The school theme for 2020-2021 school year is Soaring to Success! We will  ccomplish or school improvement goals through everyone working together. Hellen Keller stated, “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much”. The vision of C. Robert Markham Elementary is that all students meet and exceed mastery, which is a high expectation. However, this can be accomplished through teamwork and collaboration. Our students, faculty, administration, non-instructional employees, parents and community members comprise the Markham family, and together we will work to achieve our school goals. As students work in the virtual environment please help us to keep them moving forward by following these virtual rules: 1) Be on time and prepared for class, 2) Find a quiet space for learning and stay seated, 3) Keep your camera on and pay attention, 4) Keep your computer on mute and raise your hand to speak, 5) Follow directions and be respectful with your words, and 6) Dress for school. I look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming Virtual SAC/SAF/PTA meetings.

It’s going to be a great year!
