  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • Chorus

     Tamarac Singing Tigers - Choir Club

    Sponsor: Mr. Antonio Williams

    The Tamarac Elementary Singing Tigers is composed of 3rd-5th grade students. To be part of the chorus club, students must audition and maintain an A or B grade average. We are active school-wide and in the community. Students learn about proper singing techniques and sing songs from diverse cultures.

     Tamarac Modern Dance Troupe

    Sponsor: Benita Small-Williams

    Tamarac Modern Dance Troupe, in collaboration with Ambitious Legendary Dance Ensemble, has been a viable source of entertainment in the school and community. Dance participants ages 6 - 12 years old are exposed to various genres of dance as well as creative art expressions. Modern Dance Troupe allows students to practice self-expression, self-esteem, and creativity, establishing a deeper appreciation for dance that eventually lends itself to individualize concentration and focus, and it enhances their ability to connect with others.

    The Broward County Speech & Debate Club brings students together to prepare and compete in different categories, such as Original Oratory (speech writing), Interpretation and Duo Interpretation (performing published works), Congressional Debate, and Impromptu.

    We go to a designated high school for a competition 4 times a year and there is a championship competition on a designated Saturday in May.

    Tamarac ES Drama Club establishes 2022 - 2023

    The Tamarac Tigers Drama Club is where students participate in the production of plays, sketches, and other types of shows. Students will also learn and participate in the backstage process of the productions, such as set design and construction, backstage helpers, and stage managers.

     TamaracES Gardening Club

    Sponsors: Ms. Maryse Alexis, Ms. Valerie Cohen, and Mr. Michael Thomas 

    Tamarac Elementary Gardening Club is an after-school club that is dedicated to the beautification of Tamarac Elementary. Students will learn problem-solving and team-building skills while building scientific knowledge of life science.

    The club allows students to reconnect with the natural world and teach them valuable gardening and agricultural concepts and skills that integrate with several subjects, such as math, science, art, health, physical education, and social studies, as well as several educational goals, including personal and social responsibility.

    Meeting Location: School Cafeteria Rm 163.
                         Days: Tuesdays.
                       Hours:  3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

  • Morning Announcements (WTAM)

    Tamarac Elementary streams a live broadcasting of morning announcements called "WTAM". Our school news provides students with a platform to engage with their peers, teachers, and the wider school community. By delivering announcements and sharing important news, students contribute to building a sense of belonging and school spirit at Tamarac Elementary.

     Safety Patrol Club

    Tamarac Elementary Safety Patrols
    are an exceptional group of young leaders. Patrols are highly selected and recommended by their homeroom teacher to represent high standards both during and after school hours. Students are introduced to strategic leadership styles that lend themselves to enhancing our school's morals, values, and student relationships.

  • SAVE Promise

     Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Club

    The SAVE Promise Club stands for Students Against Violence Everywhere. Here at Tamarac Elementary we encourage our students to take charge of keeping our friends, schools, and communities safe. This group is lead by Ms.Mattadeen and has a total of 10 members. Every month we come up with activities that help bring our peers together.

    In February we hosted the Lollipop Gram and in the months of March and April we will be teaming up with the Garden Club!

     Tigers Spirit Club

    The Tigers Spirit Club promotes school pride and encourages unity for Tamarac Elementary students and staff. Students help plan and participate in spirit events throughout the year, such as Spirit Week, local family nights, school dances, school fundraisers and other exciting events.

    This club allows students to collaborate with other clubs at Tamarac Elementary to foster unity among the groups representing Tamarac Elementary School in a unified manner.
