  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • Chess Club

    Sponsor: Simone D. Ryals

    Chess Club offers a wonderful opportunity for children to learn the basics of this game of strategy, from set-up and piece movement to en passant and castling. 
    Chess Club runs from October - May, and is open to students in 3rd-5th grade, with two children in each class chosen randomly from interested parties to ensure fairness.
    This club is 100% free, and spaces do open up throughout the school year.

  • Drama Club

    Sponsor:  Simone D. Ryals

    Drama Club focuses on students developing fluency, vocabulary, and confidence as they practice for a readers' theater performance.
    Drama Club runs from October through March, and is open to students in 3rd-5th grade, with two children in each class chosen randomly from interested parties to ensure fairness.

    Right before spring break, the children offer three performances, one for preK-2nd grades, one for 3rd-5th grade, and an evening performance so families may attend.
    Readers' theaters do not require memorization, sets, or decorations--however, volunteers with talents in those arenas are always welcome to enhance the experience.
    This club is 100% free, and spaces do open up throughout the school year.

  • Dance Club

    The Dance Club will allow our students to express themselves through Music and dance.

  • Gardening Club

    Sponsor:  Janyce Calvano

    Gardening Club allows students to reconnect with the natural world and teach them valuable gardening and agriculture concepts and skills that integrate with several subjects, such as math, science, art, health, physical education, and social studies, as well as several educational goals, including personal and social responsibility.

  • Mathletes Club

    Mathletes is a competitive group of five 4th graders and five 5th graders, selected based on last year's FSA math scores. Students practice advanced math concepts.

    Mathletes runs from October through March, at which time each grade level team participates in a county-wide team and individual competitions involving dozens of elementary schools.

  • Robotics

    Coach: Lesia DeFelice

    The Robotics Club provides our students the hands-on experience of learning to design, build, and code/program VEX Robots, boosting teamwork and problem-solving abilities while helping kids learn how abstract concepts, like mathematics, engineering, and computing actually work in practice. 

    Meeting Location: Robotics Lab (Room 610).

                     Day(s): Tuesdays.
                     Hours: 8:05 - 8:30 a.m.
                                3:10 - 4:00 p.m (mainly for AfterCare Students).

    The Robotics Club will sponsor teams to compete in district level and hopefully state level VEX robotics competitions.
    Currently the club is only available for grades 4-5 until the end of competition in January. Club will be opening up the program to Grades 2-5 in January 2020.
