Principal's Message

  • Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!

It is a tremendous honor to serve the Griffin community. I have been fortunate enough to do just that for ten years as Assistant Principal and two years now as Principal. I value and treasure the relationships with my staff, parents, students, and business partners.

This school year opening was very different from previous years. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff, parents, and students for a successful virtual school opening. Your collaboration, enthusiasm and patience are getting us through the eLearning environment. We are making history together.

As the weeks go by, we will not only face challenges, we will overcome them. Griffin is some place special, where we all care for each other as a school community. Our theme for this year: “Individually we are unique, but together we are better,” cannot be more true.

During this unprecedented time, we want to make sure, that you remain well-informed and that you understand our efforts to maintain continuity of learning for all students. Instruction will be delivered through TEAMS and CANVAS. Our school vision: Learning Today, Leading tomorrow is embedded in the rigorous online instruction that is planned by our teachers using the district standards.

When we return to the school building, I am confident we will do everything to ensure the safety of both the staff and students. We know it will not be the same, but we believe, it will be one of opportunity and success for our students. It will be an exciting experience, especially for our young learners who have not experienced face to face instruction. One thing for sure, we have all grown from this virtual experience and have become more technology savvy.

Please know I am here for you. Feel free to reach out to me with success stories or concerns.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Moodliyar-Jones

    Proud Principal
