Principal's Message

  • Natasha Bell, PrincipalDear Parents,

The 2021-2022 school year is well underway at Pembroke Pines Elementary School.  We are happy to have all our Pirates back on campus for what has already been an exciting school year. Our theme is "Sailing on the Ship of Success" and as we come off a challenging 2020-2021 school year, we are committed to making sure that all our students are on the "Ship to Success" with us. We will do so by ensuring that we stay true to our mission of providing quality education to our students, as well as affording them opportunities to participate in enrichment activities that help develop the whole child. We are excited that our TPA clubs have resumed, and many students are taking part in a variety of them. These include Dancing through the Decades, Sports Club, Art club, Dancing Models. Multicultural Club, SECME, Yearbook, and Chorus. We have also continued our school-wide "House System" that fosters community for all PPE students and staff members. Every student and staff member is sorted into one of four houses. Emerald House (Green), Ruby House (Red), Sapphire, House (Blue), and Topaz House (Yellow). There are many benefits to having a "House System" at Pembroke Pines Elementary. These include promoting student leadership, promoting healthy competition. teaches teamwork and fosters a sense of community. This year we are also paying extra attention to the social and emotional needs of our students. We engage in mindfulness activities each day with students, that will provide them with the tools needed to cope with challenges that they may encounter. Overall, we are proud of the programs that we offer to all students in VPK - 5th grade.

Thank you to our parents, partners, and the Pembroke Pines Community for their continued support of our school and its mission. This support is vital to our success and if we continue to work together, Pembroke Pines Elementary will continue to soar to new heights. We are always looking for partners in education. Please contact the school at 754-323-7000 if you would like to be a partner or to be a volunteer.
