Principal's Message

  • Dear Pembroke Pines Elementary School Community,

I am pleased to welcome you to another exciting school year at Pembroke Pines Elementary School! As your principal, I am honored to serve such a vibrant and diverse community where every student is valued and encouraged to achieve their fullest potential.

At Pembroke Pines Elementary, our mission is to serve our students, staff, and community by providing quality education, instilling a love of learning, and preparing students for the future. We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am proud of our academic achievements during the 2023/2024 school year and on the FAST 3 assessment. We earned 53 points, missing the B by one point. However, this is the highest we have scored since the pandemic hit us. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the PPE community. Below are the highlights from the FAST assessment:

    • ELA proficiency for students in grades 3-5 increased from 50% to 54%.
    • Math Proficiency for students in grades 3-5 increased from 50% to 61%.
    • Science Proficiency for students in grades 5 increased from 21% - 43%.
    • 3rd grade ELA proficiency increased from 47% to 61%.

In addition to our academic programs, we also offer a variety of programs that allow our students to become well-rounded. These include:

    • PE, Art, and Music Integration: We believe in the importance of a well-rounded education, and our robust specials programs offer students opportunities to express themselves creatively.
    • Character Education: Through our character education initiatives, we aim to develop responsible, respectful, and caring individuals who contribute positively to our community.
    • Extracurricular Activities: Our PTA clubs provide students with extracurricular activities, which provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills.

As we embark on this journey together, I encourage all parents and guardians to take an active role in their child’s education. Your involvement and support are crucial to our collective success. We strive to maintain open lines of communication and foster strong partnerships with our families to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. I look forward to a productive and rewarding year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students.

    Educationally Yours,

    Natasha Bell, EdS.
