  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • Debate

Debate is an activity where students learn effective communication and debate skills.

  • Robotics

Sheridan Park Elementary's FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics Club is an after-school program offered to 3rd, 4th, 5th Grade students. FLL is based on a project-based learning model aimed at Leadership, Teamwork, Research, Planning, Technology, and Programming.

Students work to prepare their research projects and presentations on an annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) challenge, along with building and programming a robot based on LEGO's MINDSTORMS Spike Prime software. Robots are used to complete various missions/obstacles on a field set up based also on the annual STEM challenge. These project presentations and robot performances will be judged during local qualifying, regional, and state competitions.

Sheridan Park's FLL teams are entering their 15th year in 2021-2022.
