    Dear Pines Middle School Families, Students, Teachers, and Community Stakeholders,

    Welcome to the second marking period of the 2023-2024 school year! I am so excited to continue working with all of you to create a supportive and challenging learning environment for our students.

    During the first marking period, we made progress in our academic and social-emotional goals. Our students worked hard to develop their skills and knowledge, and they demonstrated resilience and perseverance in the face of challenges. I am especially proud of the way our community has come together to support our students and each other.

    As we enter the second marking period, I encourage all of us to continue working together to create the best possible learning experience for our students. Here are a few specific things that we can do:

    · Students: Set high goals for yourselves and work hard to achieve them. Ask for help from your teachers and classmates when you need it. Be kind and respectful to everyone.

    · Families: Stay engaged in your child's education. Communicate regularly with your child's teachers and attend school events. Help your child to develop good study habits and to create a supportive learning environment at home.

    · Teachers: Continue to provide high-quality instruction and support to all students. Differentiate your instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment.

    · Community Stakeholders: Continue to support our school and our students. Volunteer your time, donate resources, and attend school events. Help us to spread the word about the good things happening at Pines Middle School.

    I am confident that we can have a successful second marking period if we all work together. Thank you for your continued support of Pines Middle School!
