Hello Cavalier Families,

With preparations for the 2024-2025 school year underway, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Eric D. O’Neal, and it is my esteemed honor and pleasure to have been appointed as the new principal here at Parkway Middle School of the Arts. I am entering my 24th year as an educator, with 15 years in the classroom and 8 years as a school administrator. My 15-year career as a Director of Bands includes positions at Carol City Middle School, New Renaissance Middle School, Dillard Center for the Arts High School, and Plantation High School.

 I then served as Assistant Principal at Westglades Middle School before moving to Glades Middle School. My appointment at Parkway Middle School feels like a homecoming, as I have had the privilege of serving this community for many years throughout my educational journey. I am excited to work alongside all of you to continue building upon our traditions of academic excellence, attract gifted and talented students to our arts and gifted programs, and make Parkway the premier performing arts school in the country. As we begin our 2024-2025 journey, this upcoming school year will find us fostering connections, continuing to uphold our standard of excellence, and ensuring our learning environment is conducive to everyone having the opportunity to thrive and flourish. This includes every student, every staff member, and every family connected to our school.
