Cross Country

Cross-country teams in middle school typically train together to build endurance, speed, and teamwork. They often run distances ranging from 2 to 3 miles, gradually increasing as the season progresses. Practices involve warm-ups, stretching, running drills, and cooldowns. In addition to regular training, the team competes in meets against other middle schools, where they race on designated cross-country courses. These races usually cover distances of two miles for middle school athletes. Coaches focus on teaching proper running techniques, pacing strategies, and fostering a supportive team environment where athletes can develop their skills and grow as individuals.

Volleyball
-
A middle school volleyball team typically practices and competes in matches against other schools. Practices involve drills to develop fundamental skills such as serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking. Coaches focus on teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship while also emphasizing physical conditioning and agility. During matches, players rotate through different positions on the court, including setter, hitter, libero, and blocker, depending on the team's strategy and the specific rules of the game. The team works together to score points by successfully passing, setting up, and attacking the ball while also defending against the opposing team's attacks.
