DBES Afterschool Tutoring
Thanks to extra funding, we will offer small group tutoring at DBES during the months of February and March. This is free tutoring and will be provided on a “first come, first serve basis”.Parents should email the forms to their teachers.

DBES Literacy Academic Camp
This year, we are offering an ELA academic camp on a limited basis for all our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Our camp will be an extension of the learning day and will be taught by one of our highly qualified intermediate teachers. We will offer both virtual and face-to-face camp to accommodate our remote and in-school learners. Parents should email the forms to their teachers.

New Attendance Policy 5.5
On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the School Board of Broward County unanimously amended SBBC Policy 5.5, student attendance. Please be aware of the following change: If students are learning remotely, they must have their cameras on during daily attendance and during direct instruction times. If students do not turn their cameras on, they will be marked either absent or tardy.

Throughout the week of February 8, 2021, leading up to Sunday, February 14, schools across Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) have been participating in a variety of volunteer and community service activities in remembrance of the 17 students and staff lost and those who were injured during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy on February 14, 2018.
